dr hab. inż. Marta Szostak, prof. URK

Prof. UAK Marta Szostak habilitated in 2019 on Forestry (specialization: forestry geomatics) at the Faculty of Forestry University of Agriculture in Krakow (Poland). She holds a Ph.D. (2007) in the field of Geodesy and Cartography (specialization: digital cartography) at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. Her research is focused on the application of digital photogrammetry and remote sensing (using Sentinel-2, PlanetScope, Landsat, and LiDAR data) for 2D/3D characteristics of the terrain and vegetation, forest succession mapping, monitoring of land use and land cover changes, cadastral databases update, environmental protection, and management of the natural environment or reclaimed areas. She has 15 years of experience in teaching geomatics to forestry and landscape architecture students at the BSc and MSc levels. She has experience in scientific and teaching internships in foreign scientific institutions (University of California – Irvine, University of Sopron, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague)
